TILE DECALS
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
— Small towel or cloth
— Box cutter or scissors
— Pencil or marker
— Ruler
— Plastic smoother
SURFACE PREPARATION
Floors must be clean, dry and dust free. Sweep and vacuum flooring before mopping with a mild cleaning solution. Allow to dry completely.
Backsplashes must be clean, dry and dust free. Wipe down the entire surface using a damp cloth and mild soap solution to remove any debris or dust. Allow to dry completely.
Avoid creasing or sharp folds as this may damage the decal.
HOW TO INSTALL
1. Before getting started, carefully access your space to determine the best place to start. Start by peeling 2-3 inches of the backing away from the tile and placing it down. Continue to remove the backing slowly. Using your hand or a squeegee, smooth the tile onto the floor from the middle to the edges.
2. Move through your space from center to edges and continue until your project is complete.
- Tip: If you are using our 12”x12” tiles you can opt to leave the grout lines or cover them.
3. When the tile meets the edge of your space, work the tile into the edge by using a straight edge to tighten it against your edge. Use a clean, sharp razor blade to trim any excess.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Clean with a lightly dampened cloth or sponge with warm water. Pat gently with a clean soft cloth or bath towel to remove any surface moisture. Avoid aggressive rubbing.

- Our adhesive tiles can be placed on all clean and sleek surfaces. They are not suitable for outdoor settings or on the floor.
- To remove the tile decal once it has bonded, use a heat gun or a blow dryer to warm up the glue and pull softly starting with the corners.
- For long-term success, we recommended keeping a minimum of 12 inches (30cm) away from the center of the stove, fireplace, or direct heat sources.
- We do not recommend installing Tile Decals in areas in direct contact with water like inside a shower.
- Before installation, make sure that the ambient temperature is between 18°C (65°F) and 35°C (95°F) and that the tiles are at room temperature. If the ambient temperature is not suitable or for other reasons, it is recommended that 3M Purpose 45 Spray Adhesive be used to ensure optimum adhesion.
