THE HISTORY OF WALLPAPER
Wallpaper traces its origins to 15th-century China, where hand-painted papers were used to adorn interior walls with intricate scenes and ornament. By the 18th century, the craft had moved into Europe, evolving into a defining element of interior decoration—layering homes with pattern, narrative, and status.
Today, wallpaper has entered a renewed era. Once considered traditional, it now serves as a medium for artistic expression, spanning from quiet textures to bold, architectural compositions across both residential and commercial spaces.
Advancements in digital printing have transformed what is possible. Precision, depth of color, and material innovation now allow for both small-batch and large-scale production without compromise—opening the door to bespoke design at an unprecedented level.
